As a community coordinator and multi media director Michkael worked with Portland Mayor Sam Adams and owners of the project , Brad Malsin cofounder of Beam Development and Ted Gilbert of Portland Affordable Housing Preservation Trust.

Milepost Five was an affordable housing and Intentional Community located in Portland Oregon that was , developed for working artists of all disciplines.
Building Community.
Showcase PDX
I developed, produced and orchestrated Showcase PDX a pilot online series that was developed as the precursor to the CACOON platform. The series was a prototype for community collaboration among local innovators.
Abbys Table
Operations Director
2010-2012
I was the operations director for Abby’s Table a community innovation kitchen featuring gluten, dairy and soy free style cooking in the forms of catering, classes and personal chef services. He also managed all employees, events and vendors and developed the company’s branding including the web site, multimedia productions, marketing, advertising and social media campaigns.
Open Kitchen
2010-Current
The Open Kitchen program has been developed to be the pilot program for community innovation. These innovation hubs or centers of innovation provide Co working and Co living spaces in local cities. Members of the CACOON travel in a community exchange program to other Open Kitchen Centers around the world helping build, develop and empower community where it is needed.
Interactive Podcast Series.
The Open Door Podcast Series was the pilot program for the Frequency Interactive Podcast Series. "Frequency" is an interactive podcast series designed to guide individuals and groups through a step-by-step process of cultivating innovation, collaboration, and effective communication. The series is structured around distinct stages that build upon each other, creating a cohesive journey toward creativity, understanding, and problem-solving.
